Sphere on Stand This 2 part resin sphere was cast and hand turned in my shop in Billings, Montana. It sits on a wooden base. The sphere started in a 4" silicone mold, a 2 part casting resin was mixed together and then poured into the mold. Colored Dye was also added to the mixture and then it was placed in a pressure pot in which it cured. Turning such a work of art is expensive in cost of materials and very labor intensive. The surface was wet sanded to 12,000 grit and then buffed. The sphere measures 3" in diameter. Overall height with the wooden stand is 4 3/4" tall. There is no "finish" applied to the surface. (item # XLI)
This is a very simple crab apple bowl. It is 6 1/4" wide. The wood was harvested in Billings Montana and Hand turned in my shop in 2020. As with all the items made in my shop, this bowl from very pretty crab apple wood, was hand turned by Sam Angelo personally.
This is a smaller bowl with some really big grain and figure: incredible. The bowl is turned from a Box Elder burl that was harvested in Montana. If you are not convinced of its amazing appearance, just look at the photos. Hand made in my shop, Sam Angelo
