At 21 inches across, this Myrtle wall hanger presents a special challenge. The piece requires that the "swing" on his lathe can accommodate this larger project. Sam's solution is to remove the gap on his Sweet 16 lathe. He discovers that he faces a learning curve as he complete this wall hanger. When Sam recovered his workbench from two years in storage he discovered a warped top and a tail vise so bound up, it would not move. He takes you through the steps for removing and repairing the tail-vise mechanism. As you can see in the thumbnail, Cheryle comes to the rescue and helps set the old bench back on the base for another 30 years of service.
